Our grain-free waffles continue to be a bestseller. Made from green plantains, spring water, coconut oil, pastured eggs, and Himalayan pink salt. That’s it! Heat in a toaster oven....or make friends with the chef so you get invited over for fresh ones. 😉

Gee, I've been busy! Sorry about that. Happy almost-end-of-winter (we hope)! Let's all get cozy at home for the final snowstorm with some of our famous sesame plantain flatbread and a mug of chicken bone broth... Cheers!

A crock of our Paleo "tortilla" soup topped with avocado and some really good sour cream...nothing can beat this for a filling and flavorful meal! Made with organic veggies, glass-jar crushed tomatoes, our gelatinous chicken broth, and plenty of shredded soy-free pastured chicken.

What keeps me going on my 12+ hour shifts in the kitchen? Good food that is super nutrient-dense...like this elk liver pate. (On the menu this week: lamb liver pate!) Summer is turning to Autumn... and it's time for the Village of Red Hook's 40th Hardscrabble Day! (My lovely new employee Jordan informed me that Red Hook used to be called Hardscrabble -- such an evocative name!!) Stop by the front of our shop from 10-2 for some chicken soup, chili, locally-sourced veggie salad, and our famous chocolate chip cookie bar bites, plus brochures and flyers, a small "exhibit" of our healthy (and atypical) ingredients, and of course conversation. I ♥️ these peppers! Stuffed with our sprouted/broth-steamed quinoa, grass-fed beef, local kale & cherry tomatoes, and sauce made with glass-jar strained tomatoes. Oh yeah, and the grass-fed ghee on top...yum yum!

I had serious misgivings when I tasted the batter...but it turned out to be one of our yummiest loaves to date! Peach butter loaf made with coconut flour, pastured eggs, coconut oil, raw honey, nutmeg, cloves, ginger...and our homemade peach butter.

Where did the last ten days go?! We've been cooking up a storm with fantastic local produce from Starling Yards Farm and Flyaway Farm. Here's what we've been making: creamy fennel & zucchini soup green goddess soup (kale, zucchini, white wine, coriander & fennel spice) chilled pea soup baby arugula and squash blossom quiches & egg muffins turkey Porcini meatloaves cashew-crusted chicken tenders chicken enchilada casseroles purple cabbage kraut with carrots & ginger blueberry loaves almond flour sandwich rounds
